Area of Opportunity: Market research found that competitors with portable pellet grills were all generically the same. Bulky metal rectangles with small fixed hoppers, no portable power options, and huge temperature swings.

VERSION 1

Version 1 started with an overall concept of making an extremely portable grill and could be used almost anywhere outdoors. With a removable hopper cylinder and a portable battery, this grill could go anywhere without having to have an outlet nearby.

VERSION 2

Version 2 removed the inset hopper container to provide more room for the internal components. This concept was feasible but provided manufacturing concerns with the moving components needed for the hopper attachment.

FINAL VERSION

Turning point: Form explorations again trying to find a new form, all with fixed side hoppers.

Final version eliminated the removable hopper concept and was replaced with a fixed 3-5lb hopper. The design also added in two "bull horn" handles to keep the brand identity.
